Jennifer Rana Marie Javers, daughter of Tammi Baartman and Gary Javers, was born July 2, 1989 in Sioux Falls, SD. At age 12 she moved to Rock Rapids, IA. She was a 2008 graduate of Central Lyon High School, where she was active in band, choir, dance and cheerleading as well as being on the honor roll. She was also a teachers aid for a first grade class throughout her senior year.
Jennifer was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series of books and movies. She was an animal lover. She liked to spend time with children. She was cherished by family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Tammi Baartman, Rock Rapids, IA; her father, Gary Javers and his wife, Kimberly, Sioux Falls, SD; her brother, Adam Javers, Rock Rapids, IA; her half-sister, Rebecca Guse, Rock Rapids, IA; her half-brother, Albert Javers, Sioux Falls, SD; her step-brother, Zachary Kooyman, Sioux Falls, SD; two step-sisters, Brooke Varns and Kendra Kooyman, both of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandparents, Becki Schoffelman, Sioux Falls, SD, Howard and Beverly Baartman, Sioux Falls, SD, Darold and Rickey Haddican, Sioux Falls, SD; her great-grandparents, Gale and Leota Graff, Denver, CO; many aunts, uncles and cousins; her special cat, Spunky; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jennifer was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Javers; and her great-grandparents, Lucille Thompson, Ed and Myrtle Baartman, and Elton Wendell Emery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
